Well, you see, I have this small problem where my very existence is considered adult content by a small but very powerful group of people and I actually rather enjoy being able to exist in public without restriction so uhhhh put that in your bong and smoke it kiddo.

you can survive getting stabbed, getting shot, getting hit by a truck. you will outlive your friends and family and every animal you ever loved. you will witness the rise and fall of countries, islands, and mountains. you will see lakes dry up, you will see acid rain fall, you will see cities drown, you will see forests grow and burn to the ground.
your mind wanders to all the terrible things a life as long as yours could witness. the despair starts to take you. it seeps through every part of you like a rot. each breath starts to feel like something chasing you, and your thoughts race, trying to escape.
not unusual for this type of situation.
the fear. you are afraid of the future you will be forced to see. you are scared of the future. you are so scared of the future. countless terrible scenarios play out so loudly in your head that it all makes you forget
that none of them have happened yet.
you start begging for answers. how can you move forward? how can you keep going? what are you supposed to do next?
well.
tomorrow is the farmers’ market.
and the day after, there is a concert in the park.
now that you think about it, you have been meaning to get back in touch with that one friend.
and when you were little you wanted to learn how to play ocarina. you never did get around to it.
that sounds like a great place to start.
and after that? who knows. you are immortal, not prophetic. the only one in the far future right now is your imagination.
